Why we like it: Cincinnati's contact profile travels well, while Pittsburgh's bullpen has carried a heavy workload across the last three days.

NO HYPE NO LOCKS JUST THE ANGLE BUILT FOR EVERYDAY BETTORS

The process

Less guessing.
More reasoning.

We turn mountains of sports data into one clear, useful point of view—so you know what we're betting and, more importantly, why.

01

We scan the board

Matchups, market movement, injuries, rest, weather, and the numbers beneath the numbers.

02

We find the edge

We skip forced action and publish only the spots where our analysis sees real value.

03

You get the angle

A clear pick, confidence score, suggested stake, and a concise explanation before game time.

What passes the test

Today's shortlist.

Every game starts as a candidate. Very few make the shortlist. We don't release selections simply to fill the card—each play must clear our standards for price, matchup, evidence, and risk. What reaches our clients is the best of the best from that day's board.

The angle, delivered

From our board

Substack powers the membership and delivery experience. We review the board daily and generally publish picks each day, delivered by email and available in the Substack app. A pick is never guaranteed, though—on smaller or weaker cards, we may pass rather than force an angle that does not meet our standards.

We analyze the board

Human-led research identifies the strongest candidates. AI helps organize information and pressure-test the theory.

02

Only qualified plays get published

We look for opportunities every day, but daily picks are not guaranteed. If the card does not produce a strong enough angle, we pass rather than force action.

Bettor basics

Make the bankroll
last longer.

A good selection is only part of responsible betting. Price, stake size, recordkeeping, and self-control all affect long-term results. These are the habits we want every everyday bettor to understand before placing a wager.

01

Separate and size your bankroll

Your bankroll should be money set aside strictly for entertainment—not rent, bills, savings, or emergency expenses. A simple starting point is to define 1 unit as 1% of your bankroll. With a $500 bankroll, 1 unit equals $5. A 1.5-unit play would be $7.50.

Using units keeps stake sizes proportional as bankrolls differ. Never increase a bet simply because the last one lost, and do not impulsively reload money you had not planned to risk.

02

Set limits before the games begin

Decide your deposit, wager, and time limits while you are thinking clearly. Consider a weekly or monthly loss ceiling and stop when it is reached. The purpose of a limit is to remove the decision from an emotional moment.

A losing day does not create a debt that must be recovered tonight. Chasing losses with larger bets can turn an ordinary downswing into serious harm. Stepping away is always an acceptable decision.

03

Shop for the best available price

The same bet can be offered at different odds or lines across licensed sportsbooks. Compare before placing it. Paying -110 instead of -120, or getting +3.5 instead of +3, may look minor on one wager but can matter greatly over hundreds of bets.

Use only legal, regulated books available in your location. Keep account security in mind, and never open duplicate or false accounts to bypass a sportsbook's rules.

04

Know the break-even number

Odds tell you how often a wager must win just to break even. At -110, the approximate break-even rate is 52.4%. At +150, it is 40%. A team being likely to win is not enough—the offered price must also make sense.

This is why we care about value rather than simply picking winners. Even a strong opinion can be a poor bet when the market price is too expensive.

05

Use promotions—do not let them use you

Odds boosts, bonus bets, and deposit offers can add value, but only when the underlying wager fits your plan. Read the expiration date, eligible markets, minimum odds, wagering requirements, maximum stake, and withdrawal terms first.

A promotion does not turn a bad bet into a good one. Never deposit more than planned, force action, or violate a book's terms just to claim an offer.

06

Track every wager honestly

Record the date, sport, market, line, odds, stake, result, and units won or lost. Tracking the closing line can also show whether you consistently found a better price than the market's final number.

Judge performance using a meaningful sample, not one hot or cold week. Count every official wager, including losses and pushes. Complete records reveal what is working and prevent selective memory from rewriting the story.

The August Angle rule: A pick is an opinion, not a promise. Stay within your limits, wager only where it is legal, and remember that choosing not to bet is part of a disciplined process.

Built for the long run

Not a shortcut.
A better process.

01

Profitability is a long game

The goal is not to win every bet—it's to make disciplined, well-priced decisions repeatedly. Over a meaningful sample, finding value and protecting your bankroll can create a sustainable edge. There are no guaranteed outcomes and no get-rich-fast promises here.

02

Human selections, supported by AI

Every selection begins with people. Our analysts study the matchup, form the betting theory, and decide which angle is worth pursuing. AI is then used as a supporting research tool—to organize information, test assumptions, and look for evidence that strengthens or challenges that human-made theory. The final pick and its reasoning always remain a human decision.

Our promise: People create the theory and make the selection. AI helps pressure-test and support the analysis—it does not choose the pick for us.
